New Gadgets for 2011

Hey, Mac here.

And, you’re reading what I really think are the coolest, hottest new gadgets for 2011 — especially electronic gadgets and gizmos.

This is not a comprehensive review, but what I WILL do is give you a link for each gadget where you can get full details. Cool?

Why am I doing this? Well, I’m kind of a gadget geek and I love new technology so I got to thinking that there might be folks out there who love gadgets but don’t have time to search all over the net to learn about them. I prefer high tech (or is that hi tech?), but I’m open to any of the coolest gadgetry and electronics.

I’ll be honest — I’m biased, so you won’t hear me pointing out a bunch of stuff that sucks about these things. Why? Because I think they’re cool! THAT’s why I’m including them, here. Oh, and I guess I should also say that not everything I list here is NEW in 2011. Some of them are just becoming HOT this year, even though they’re not new.

My main criteria for inclusion is this: would I be excited if I got it as a gift?

I’ll be adding to this list throughout the year. AND, I’ll be creating separate blog posts for each of these products as I have time.

Ready?

What a great review! I wanted to get one immediately after reading your review. You mentioned that Safety 1st sent you two Complete Air Convertible Car Seats with Air Protect at no charge, to try out and keep; I was wondering how can I get one to try out as well? Can you provide advise and insights? Thank you!

One thing I’d really like to say is that often before acquiring more laptop or computer memory, take a look at the machine in to which it can be installed. If your machine is definitely running Windows XP, for instance, the memory ceiling is 3.25GB. Using more than this would basically constitute some sort of waste. Be sure that one’s motherboard can handle your upgrade quantity, as well. Good blog post.

Thanks for your submission. I also think laptop computers are becoming more and more popular lately, and now are sometimes the only kind of computer included in a household. The reason is that at the same time that they’re becoming more and more reasonably priced, their working power keeps growing to the point where these are as robust as desktop computers coming from just a few years back.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

I have seen lots of useful items on your internet site about pcs. However, I’ve the thoughts and opinions that notebooks are still more or less not powerful more than enough to be a good choice if you often do jobs that require many power, such as video editing and enhancing. But for net surfing, statement processing, and majority of other frequent computer work they are just fine, provided you do not mind small screen size. Thank you for sharing your thinking.

A laptop (also known as a notebook) could be a laptop computer designed for mobile use. A laptop integrates most of the everyday elements of a desktop laptop, together with a display, a keyboard, a pointing device (a touchpad, additionally known as a trackpad, and/or a pointing stick) and speakers into one unit. A laptop is powered by mains electricity via an AC adapter, and might be used faraway from an outlet employing a rechargeable battery. A laptop battery in new condition typically stores enough energy to run the laptop for three to 5 hours, depending on the computer usage, configuration and power management settings. When the laptop is plugged into the mains, the battery charges, whether or not the computer is running.
